Police Lt. Evaggelos “Angelo” Marmarinos, Round Rock PD, TX ~ [email protected] ~ 512.801.0887
I’m Angelo Marmarinos. I serve as a lieutenant in the Criminal Investigations Division for the Round Rock Police Department, where I lead our White Collar Unit, the Narcotics Unit, and the Special Investigations Unit. I have been a police officer since 2009.
Before joining CID, I served as a patrol lieutenant with oversight of four patrol shifts and led the Department’s Field Training Program. I supervised 32 Field Training Officers and helped train more than 50 introductory police officers, ensuring new hires left the program confident and prepared for patrol duties. I also served as Honor Guard Commander, leading an 18-member team that performed at roughly 40 ceremonial and community events each year.
Earlier in my career I served as a sergeant in the Special Operations Division, supervising the DWI unit. Under my leadership, our team made more than 300 DWI contacts annually and our department consistently led the county in DWI enforcement. I created and organized multiagency impaired driving operations that required coordination with partner agencies and prosecutors to be effective. I also served as a patrol sergeant overseeing five officers, and one of those officers earned Officer of the Year under my mentorship. Prior assignments include working as a field training officer, SWAT operator, community affairs officer, and downtown entertainment district officer. I have always stayed actively involved in investigations and operations in ways that have contributed to successful prosecutions and measurable public safety results.
One of the proudest accomplishments of my career is a Back to School Celebration I coordinated while serving in community affairs. The event was supported entirely through donations totaling more than two hundred thousand dollars and provided free haircuts, sports physicals, immunizations, school supplies, food, entertainment, and eye and hearing screenings. We connected families to services they needed before school started, mobilized more than 550 volunteers, and welcomed over 13,000 attendees. That program earned national recognition and remains a highlight of my work because of the direct, positive impact it had on children and families in our community.
I am a Marine Corps veteran, having completed four years of active duty before beginning my law enforcement career. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from McMurry University. I also serve as President of the Texas Citizens on Patrol Association, a statewide role that supports volunteer programs and strengthens community partnerships across Texas. I’m committed to leadership that develops people, builds partnerships, and produces measurable results for public safety.
