Lt. Nicholas Wenzel, Waukesha County Sheriff ~ [email protected] ~ 262-424-3456

I have 16 years of law enforcement experience with six of those years being a patrol supervisor. Currently, I serve as the Public Information Officer for the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office as well as a dayshift patrol supervisor. I am the program coordinator for our four patrol canines and serve as a leader of our multi-agency Civil Disturbance Unit. I also serve as an instructor for our agency, teaching SFSTs, vehicle contacts, and emergency vehicle operations. I have been a Drug recognition expert since 2013 and also teach Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving. In December, I retired from the Wisconsin Army National Guard after almost 21 years of service. During that time, I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. In my free time, I enjoy hunting and playing ice hockey. I am married with four children that are all extremely active in sports, with two being on traveling teams. My 10-year-old daughter plays on a traveling ice hockey team that has taken us to multiple different states and Canada over the past few weeks.      Â
